Finally! An About Page…

I will leave a couple of lines so we can get familiar with each other. My name is Mariyana

Anyway, the short story is that I’m from Bulgaria (a small country in Europe). After I got my BSc in Computer Science, I moved to the United Kingdom (2018). After living for 7 years in Cambridge, I decided to look for a sunnier place so I can spend more time outdoors and enjoy nature to nurture my creative juices!

I started uploading YouTube tutorials on my channel as Munkaa in late 2020. I can create some playful animations. I have been doing this for a long time since the dinosaurs walked these lands. Okay, maybe not that long, but if you want the numbers, here they are. I’ve been a digital artist for over 10 years. It all started when I opened Photoshop for the first time, got angry, and closed it immediately. Luckily, I opened it again the same day, and since then, I have been using my wild imagination to create stuff. I specialize in creating both 2D and 3D animations for a variety of clients across different industries.

I have designed and animated high-quality 2D and 3D graphics that enhance visual storytelling and significantly boost viewer engagement, achieving up to a 100% increase, using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender 3D, and others. I’m eager to apply my artistic and narrative skills to produce impactful animations that achieve meaningful results. I have been focusing on creating animations to promote environmental conservation and mental health. Animations are not just for kids; with animated storytelling, we can help educate people from all backgrounds on important topics and improve each other’s lives for a brighter future.

After this mix of history lesson and sharing a little bit (too much) about myself, feel free to reach out. What keeps me going is this weird need to create. I’m not a consumer, I’m here to create, so I can’t wait to hear what we can work on together!

*Bulgaria (a small country in Europe) - yes, we do speak Bulgarian, and we did create the Cyrillic alphabet with the help of our good old neighbors, the Elada boys. I will stop here, before my Greek neighbours start throwing stuff at me.

(Of course, do I need to mention, please do have some sense of humor reading this paragraph)

. . . I love my Greek neighbours and their music! Peace!
